About me
Andi Ruiz is in her second year at Arizona State's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication with a minor in political science. She is also a part of the Barrett Honors College and currently writes and reports for The State Press's politics desk. In her first year at the Cronkite School, Andi was one of The Cut Network's main anchors. In high school, she spent her time working as a broadcast director and production manager for her school's broadcast, Portola News Network. She also went on to be OCFF's 2024 Anchor of the Year. When she's not reading the news or writing, Andi is playing for ASU's Women's Club Water Polo or lifeguarding at the Sun Devil Fitness Center. She has a deep passion for storytelling and works toward her goal to one day anchor and report on the issues that matter to her. Telling stories has always been a passion of hers, and she is determined to turn that passion into a successful career.
